Helium prices are in flux right now due to constraints on the supply/demand side.

The U.S. government is stockpiling helium for an extended period of time, so the prices of helium will inevitably increase over the coming weeks/months. Helium gases are being rationed and the major gas distributors in the U.S. and Canada have declared force majeure to all clients that they provided helium gas services too

The major gas distributors in the U.S. and Canada are not able to fulfill original contract agreements for clients using helium gases, so force majeure enables them to contractually not be obligated to the signed contractual commitments.
